Gavin's 4th Birthday

My little man turned 4 on June 26th and his only request was a hunting camo birthday party.  Not exactly an easy request for a non-crafty mom, so I had to get my serious thinking hat on.  Here's what I came up with:

Pin the antlers on the deer:

Thanks to Marissa, she made the deer for me and it was a huge hit for the kids.  Gavin loves it and has played with it at home too.

 Laynie pinning the antlers on.

Our cute deer after the kids got their hands on him:)

Gavin's cute friends who came to the party.  They are all such fun kids and I think they all had fun!

Hunter, hunter, DEER!  Our version of Duck, Duck, Goose!  The weather was not cooperating and I had to make some changes with games so luckily my sister Hillary was on her toes and thought of this one.  The boys loved it.

The boys were each going to get a balloon and draw what they wanted to hunt on it, and then with squirt guns go hunting for them.  But thanks to the wind we had balloons tied in knots so the kids shot the balloons and eachother with the water.

Gav got lots of fun presents.  His friends were all VERY helpful in opening them too.

The day after Grandma and Grandpa Anderson came by and gave Gav a bat and baseballs for his birthday.  He has slept with the bat and takes it pretty much everywhere he goes.

Overall, I think the party was a hit.  Gav gave me a huge hug when he went to bed that night and thanked me for the party.  He told me he loved me and that next year he wanted a Batman and Spiderman birthday.  I guess its good he's giving me a whole year to start planning that one.

Happy Birthday Gavino Bambino!  We love you!!!!!

T-ball fun!

This was Gavin's first year playing t-ball and it has been so entertaining.  Between kids peeing in the outfield to everyone dog piling on the ball, we have had our fair share of laughs.  I didn't think it would work out well because Carl and Gavin's personalities clashed at one of the first practices (slightly embarrassing.)  But after putting Carl in charge of chasing after Kamryn and me playing 3rd base coach here and there, we made it through the season in one piece.

Gav loved to hit the ball!  And he did pretty good, hopefully there is a promising future in baseball for him:)

Playing outfield, or should I say watching everything but the game.  Outfield was such a hard position for the kids, they usually ended up playing with the grass or chasing butterflies.

ATTACK!  Everyone went after the ball no matter how close it was to them.  What a fun time!  The coach was very patient and great with the kids.  I can't wait for next year!

The Little Lady Turns 1!!

I can't believe that our little lady is 1!  We had a fun little party on April 21 to celebrate her (and the fact that she survived us for a whole year).  Kamryn got spoiled and wasn't sure about her cupcake, but she loved opening the presents.  We love this little lady and can't imagine life without her!

The cupcakes turned out adorable!

When Kamryn would see the smallest part of her present she would say, "Ooohh" and wouldn't really care to open it any more.

Uncle Brandon, Aunt Marissa, and Kooper got her a chair that is just her size and she LOVED it!
Such a big girl.

Kamryn had lots of help opening up presents.

Checking out the birthday candle.

She really was not interested in the cupcake, but after a few minutes, she couldn't get enough of it!

Happy Easter!!

Our Easter celebrations started off on Saturday without Carl. He had to work all weekend and we missed him a lot, but the kids and I had a fun time! We hit the Mona city park for a nice candy hunt and then headed to the Young Living Farms for their celebrations and it was SO much fun!! There were games, animals, bounce houses, face painting, and an Easter egg hunt for kids to enjoy. Gavin had a blast and I think Kamryn enjoyed it too, but hopefully next year she will be able to do more. She did have a good nap so that worked for me:)

Gavin loved petting the donkeys (after which he put his hands in his mouth) and wants to be Old McDonald so he can have a farm full of animals!

He sat very still and got an awesome fire breathing dragon painted on his face...it was tragic last night to wash it off during his bath.

He was so brave and rode the pony all by himself! He said its name was Bullseye and that he was a real cowboy. He did awesome!!!

YEEHA!

We ran into our friends Alisa, Carter and Darin Gledhill and had fun tagging along with them! Gavin sure loves Carter!!

Bouncing, or sliding head first, down the slide. This was Gavin's favorite part of it all!

And like I said for the most part Kamryn slept. It was such a fun day and I am looking forward to it again next year!!
Last night before we went to bed we planted our "Magic Easter Beans" to see if they would grow something.
Getting ready to plant.
Planting the magic beans.
Watering them.
And look what they grew!! A lolipop for Gavin and Kamryn.
(Thanks Mom for the idea)

And the Easter Bunny found us! Gav got new shirts and a bubble gun. Kamryn got new clothes and a new dress...because the Easter Bunny forgot to get her a prize (I know, some Easter Bunny!) What a fun couple of days we have had. And to top it off, we read the Easter story in the scriptures about Christ being risen. I love my family and am so grateful for all my blessings. I know that our Savior lives and loves us all. Happy Easter everyone!!

Loving the weather and the kids!

The weather has been awesome and we have loved every minute we can spend outside. Gavin has been practicing every sport possible and has been getting lots of energy out lately. He is so active and has so much fun playing anything that involves a ball and running. We love our little man!

More "soccer" practice.

If Gavin wants to play baseball he can't just play. He has to get his full uniform on and then he is set. He uses some of Carl's old batting gloves, his Yankee shirt, and of course one of Dad's hats too. I am so excited for tee ball this summer! That will definetly keep us busy!!

Our little Yankee...he calls himself Jeter when he plays baseball. Maybe one day he will make millions and support his mom and dad :)
And now for our little Miss Kamryn! Can't believe she is almost 1, I swear she was born yesterday. She is such a drama queen! If she doesn't get her way she gets very mad and will let you know how she feels. She loves Gavin and wants to do everything that he does too. She is not really into her girl toys but loves to play with trucks and cars. She loves the vaccum and tries to hitch a ride on it when we have it out. No, she doesn't sleep well at night...Gavin didn't either so I guess that runs in our family (they take after Carl). She has two teeth right now, but that doesn't slow her down from eating everything she can get her hands on. We lovingly call her our little garbage disposal:) We can't imagine life without our little diva and love every minute we have with her and Gavin!!

Kamryn is obsessed with her tongue. I love this picture!

Family pics

We have had these since October, but I'm finally getting them posted. I love the way they turned out and love the pics of my kiddos! It's also been since our wedding that Carl and I had a pic of just the 2 of us...Since that's where it all began I thought I would begin the pics with us:)

Kamryn hated every second of this but I love how it turned out!

Our cute little family

What's not to love about these faces???

Handsome little Gav Man. 3 years old and full of life, he keeps me running constantly but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Gav and Daddy

Gav and Mommy

I just can't get over how grown up he looks! And I didn't put any pics of Kamryn on this post because I did some of her below...I can only figure out so much when it comes to the blog world:)
